WARRANTY
General Terms & Discussion
Samford Village pumps (SVP) prides itself on providing excellent service to its clients and
selling premium products that are proven and of high quality.
Sometimes products can fail and they need to be repaired or replaced under
manufacturer’s warranty. As service agents we can process warranty claims and even
sometimes process claims for products that were purchased from another party. If you
believe you have a warranty claim you need to make this known to staff immediately and
SVP staff can advise you of the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.
What does Warranty Cover?
If the product is deemed to be defective the product will be either repaired, or replaced;
parts & labour to repair the product are covered.
What Warranty does not Cover?
Warranty does not cover travel to and from site or labour to remove and re-install
equipment or products; this cost is borne by the customer. NB: In some cases some manufacturers offer “On Site” warranty or extended warranty
terms can be purchased.
After hours work will also incur the standard After hours callout fee, and labour rate.
Incorrect operation, damage, lightning strikes, exposure to the elements, or loss are also
not covered by manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty Period
The warranty period starts from the date of original purchase and is generally anywhere
from 3 months to 6 years long; check with staff if are unsure about the warranty period. If
your product is repaired or replaced during this period under warranty, the item will be
still covered for the remainder of that initial period; the warranty period does not get
extended by replacement.
Your tax invoice, which is your proof of purchase needs to be retained and presented in
the case of warranty; warranty claims cannot be processed without it.
Further
It’s always best to read your manuals prior to operating your equipment or products. This
will help ensure you are using the equipment safely and correctly.
Protect your equipment from the elements. Most machinery is adversely affected and in
some cases permanently damaged by wet weather, UV degradation, and inadequate
ventilation. SVP staff can provide tips on care for your newly purchased goods.
If there are any further questions regarding warranty, SVP staff are available to advise
further.
